I get so excited when I find great quality affordable makeup products and it makes me curious as to what else is available out there and I've been finding myself checking out more affordable brands for a product first before I fork out the money for a high end product. Don't get me wrong sometimes I like to treat myself to a highend product as I can be sucked in by the fancy packaging and fancyness of it all but we can't overlook those standout budget beauties that give their expensive rivals a run for their money. There's no denying that the more affordable brands are really killing it at the minute. With that being said lets get into my list of budget beauty products I have been absolutely loving lately.
1. The Ordinary Coverage Foundation £5.95
This foundation is so so nice. It gives a good medium coverage and looks very natural on the skin. It covers everything I want covered without looking heavy or cakey and it lasts a long time on my skin. This is literally the cheapest foundation I have ever tried and I am blown away by how good it is it even gives some of my high end foundations a run for their money. You can get it HERE
2. Lottie London Tan Time Bronzer - £5.95
This is a lovely pigmented very warm toned bronzer that blends really well and gives a lovely sunkissed look to the face and it has become one of my favourite bronzers ever. Also a little goes a long way and only a light hand is needed. You can get it HERE
3. e.l.f. Makeup Mist and Set - £4.50
This is a great setting spray and it does everything I want a setting spray to do. It settles down any powders I have applied and gives my skin a bit of moisture back while prolonging the wear of my makeup. I also like the nossle on it as it doesn't drench my face it just gives a nice even spray. You can get it HERE
4. Freedom Eyebrow Powder Duo - £4
I've heard this is a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow powder duo and while I haven't tried that one I do agree that this brow powder is very good, in fact it is a total bargain. It is really pigmented and easy to use and I like the way it has a darker shade for the tail of my brows and a lighter shade for the front of my brows to give that more natural look. I feel you just cannot go wrong with this product for the price. You can get it HERE
5. Makeup Geek Single Eyeshadows - £4.95/£7.95
I am absolutely obsessed with the Makeup Geek eyeshadows. They are extremely pigmented, blend super easy, are so affordable and come in so many different shades what more could you want. Here I have the shades Petal Pusher, Curfew and Daydreamer. Petal Pusher and Curfew are pressed eyeshadows and Daydreamer is a foiled eyeshadow. The pressed eyeshadows are £4.95 and the foiled eyeshadows are £7.95. You can get them HERE and HERE
6. Makeup Revolution Blusher in Treat - £1
This Blusher is only £1 like WHAT??? It is surprisingly such a lovely blusher for such an affordable one. It feels so soft and creamy to the touch and it blends out so nicely on the cheeks with really nice colour payoff. I really like this blusher and it is a lovely peachy shade as well which I think flatters all skin tones. You can pick it up HERE
7. NYX Suede Matte Lip Liners - £4
NYX have some of the best lip liners out there and these ones in particular are my favourite they just glide on the lips with ease and without dragging and last all day. They come in lots of beautiful colours and are very pigmented. At only £4 each I think I'll be trying some more shades in this range. You can get them HERE
8. Collection Glam Crystals Glitter Gel Eyeliner - £2.99
I love these glitter gel eyeliners they are so beautiful and just add something a bit more exciting to my eye makeup. I find them very easy to apply and they come in some really nice shades. They also remind me so much of the Urban Decay ones which are about 5 or 6 times the price of these ones. You can pick them up HERE
I really enjoyed creating this blog post as it made me realise how many amazing affordable products there actually is out there and it has gotten me very excited to try out even more things and hopefully find even more affordable products that blow me away (oh my poor poor bank balance)
What are your favourite bargain beauty buys?
