Maybelline Master Fix Setting And Correcting Loose Powder Review

For years I have avoided setting powder like the plague as I have super dry skin and any powders I have tried in the past, especially pressed powders, would make my face look cakey and textured. That was until I tried the Maybelline Master Fix Setting and Correcting Loose Powder.

On their website Maybelline describes this product as a translucent powder which sets, mattifies, blurs and smoothes for an undetectable finish. They say it creates a soft-focus effect as it sets makeup and the translucent shade looks natural on all skin types and leaves a smooth, flawless finish.

The Maybelline Master Fix Setting and Correcting Loose Powder is the smoothest, softest, most finely milled powder I have ever tried it is just amazing. It makes my skin look ten times better when I wear it, it blurs my imperfections, it sets my foundation really well and leaves my skin feeling so silky. I definitely agree with Maybelline when they say that is is totally undetectable on the skin and it doesn't leave your face looking powdery. I am so happy that my makeup stays on so much longer now because I am finally able to use a powder to set my foundation in place.

As you can see from my photos this powder is pure white which might scare some people but it doesn't show up on the skin at all it is completely translucent. The fact that it is so white may mean that you might get a bit of flashback and a white cast over your face if using flash photography. I've personally never had this problem but that is just something to keep in mind if wearing this powder on a night out for example. I think if you don't use too much on your face that it should be totally fine in my opinion.

I have only one tiny complaint about this product and that is how little product you actually get. Only 0.21 OZ/6 g to be exact which isn't very much and is less product than a lot of other setting powders have so I doubt it will last me very long. That being said I don't mind if I have to keep repurchasing this product regularly as for only £8.99 it is worth every single penny.

I would highly recommend this Setting Powder for all you oily and dry skinned beauties out there and if you are interested in trying it out you can get it HERE

I would love to know what your holy grail makeup products for dry skin are? I'm always looking to improve the look of my skin with good makeup and would love to hear from you.
