Hi everyone! As I'm writing this it is Mothers Day and I've had an amazing day so far getting spoilt by my wonderful partner and three beautiful kiddies starting with the most delicious lie in followed by homemade pancakes, chocolates, an adorable teddy and lots of cuddles. What more could a mummy ask for. So while I am sitting here sipping a cup of tea and munching on my yummy chocolates I thought I would talk about the affordable highlighters I have been loving lately as highlighting is my absolute favourite part of makeup application.
Sleek Highlighting Palette - Solstice
The Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette includes two baked powders, one cream formula and one silky shimmer powder. They come in a lovely dinky little rose gold case with a mirror, a little brush and a magnetic closure. I can honestly say I love all the shades in this palette especially the two baked powders which are the two on the left hand side. They are so pigmented and can be built up to a blinding highlight and can also look natural if you use a light hand.

Sleek Highlighting Palette - Cleopatras Kiss
This palette is the same as the Solstice palette only the packaging is more gold than rose gold and inside it has 2 cream formulas and 2 baked powders. I prefer the Solstice Palette but I still love this one as well. My favourite highlight in this palette is the one on the top left hand side and its the one I would reach for the most in this palette. The one on the bottom right is a little less pigmented and a bit more powdery than the other one but can still be built up nicely . I don't tend to use the cream ones as often but they can be nice as a base to the powder highlights.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick - Radiant
What I love the most about this highlighter is the fact that there are 5 different shades within this highlighter for you to wear separately or you can mix them all together for one beautiful shade. The texture of this shimmer brick is so soft and smooth. It has finely milled shimmers and not chunky glitter so it sits on the skin really lovely. It blends evenly and doesn't emphasise any texture I have on my skin. It can be used to add a subtle, natural glow to the face for day time or can be built up to be blinding for night time . All the shades are so pigmented with only one swipe. I like to use the palest shade when I'm at my palest and any other time I just swirl the colours all together for a beautiful bronzy glow.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder - Iridescent Gold
This highlighter seems quite powdery in the pan and when swatched but when I apply it to my skin it looks really nice and smooth. Its a nice pale gold shade and looks lovely on my pale skin in the winter months. Again this highlighter is finely milled and pigmented and gives a lovely glow to the skin. This is one of the cheapest highlighters I have ever tried and for the price it is such a good impressive highlighter. Some people even say it is a dupe for the Nars Albatross highlighter which is a huge 8 times the price of the MUA one WOW!

Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter - Molten Gold
This highlighter is my favourite affordable highlighter of all time. It is such a beautiful peachy gold shade and it is super soft and creamy to the touch. It is so buttery, smooth and pigmented and just melts into the skin. It is in no way chunky or glittery and it doesn't feel dry or powdery at all. I am so impressed with the quality of this highlighter it just feels and looks like a high end highlighter. I would love them to come out with more shades in this highlighter because I would buy them all. It is a very bold and vibrant highlighter and to top it all off it has a cool geometric style print on it which just looks so pretty I'm in love.
