Shadow Switch Dry Brush Cleaner By Beauty Essentials Review

I was so extremely chuffed and excited when I was contacted and asked if I would like to be sent out this new brush cleaning tool by beauty essentials to try out* I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and am dying to tell you guys all about it.

The Shadow Switch is a round tin with a round black soft wiry sponge inside. It allows you to swap between colours when doing your makeup while using the same brush without having any colour left on your brush from the colour you used before. Perfect for if you have a limited number of eyeshadow brushes.

All you do is gently swirl your dirty brush over the sponge in circular motions until all the product is removed from your brush then go in with another colour using the same brush - amazing! There is no need to use any brush cleaners or water etc the dry sponge does all the work for you and you can even see your shadows transfer from your brush onto the sponge which I find very satisfying to watch, does that make me weird? Anyway because the sponge is so soft it doesn't damage your bristles or reshape them either which I was very pleased about.

This tool is so simple yet so effective I couldn't believe how well it worked my brushes were spotless after using this. The tin is also quite small and very light which makes it perfect for travelling with and it also means you wouldn't have to take a tonne of brushes away with you either.

To keep your Shadow Switch clean all you need to do is take the sponge out of the tin and wash it with warm water and a soap that is fragrance free. Then you leave the sponge until it is totally dry then put it back into the tin.  As simple as that. It couldn't be any easier and a lot quicker than washing and drying brushes which is my least favourite thing to do.

It is recommended that you replace the sponge every 2 months for hygiene reasons but I think I might get slightly longer out of it as I don't wear makeup every day therefore I don't need to clean my brushes as often. Obviously this depends on how often you use the sponge yourselves. Also I recommend you still give your brushes a deep clean at least once a month with your usual brush cleaner, this tool is just for in between washes.
This is going to be the new packaging when beauty essentials launch their complete range of beauty tools. I love the hot pink it's so pretty and girly.

The Shadow Switch is already available on Amazon for £5.99 if you would like to try it out before the complete range launches. You can get it HERE

I can't wait to see what else beauty essentials bring out, can you? Let me know in the comments if you are going to be purchasing the Shadow Switch for yourselves.
