Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hey everyone today I am going to be reviewing my favourite eyeshadow palette ever! The Modern Renaissance Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills!

After wanting this palette for the longest time but chickening out every time because of the hefty price tag I finally bit the bullet and ordered it off beauty bay and boy am I so glad I did. I've had this Palette a few months now and have dipped into it and experimented with it a tonne of times so I thought this was a great time to do my review on it.

I think the packaging of this palette is so beautiful. It comes in a lilac/mauve coloured box with white and gold writing and the palette itself is the same only it's in a velvet material. I think the fact that it is velvet looks really pretty but this also means it gets dirty very quickly and it is impossible to keep clean. It doesn't stay new and pretty looking for too long which is disappointing. This definitely is the only negative thing I have to say about this palette though as I absolutely love it.

Inside the palette is black in colour and there are 14 shadows, 11 matte shades and 3 shimmery shades. This palette also comes with a mirror and a really good double sided brush which I was pleasantly surprised about as most brushes that come with eyeshadows are normally not very good so that is an added bonus. This palette has the most stunning warm pinky, reddy orangey shades which are super pigmented and creamy and so easy to blend. They don't come out chalky, flaky or patchy even the darker colours show up perfectly amazing. It is definitely possible to create a more neutral day time look with this palette as well as a more dramatic night time look.

Above, swatched on my arm, is the top row of shadows in the palette. From left to right we have:
Cyprus Umber - a chocolate brown matte shade
Love Letter - a raspberry matte shade
Antique Bronze -  a burgundy toned chocolate brown with a cranberry shimmer
Buon Fresco - a matte lilac shade
Vermeer - an iridescent pink shade
Golden Ochre - an earthy yellow matte shade
Tempera - a matte cream beige shade

Above, swatched on my arm, is the bottom row of shadows in the palette. From left to right we have:
Realgar - an intense burnt orange matte shade
Warm Taupe - a soft caramel toned grey matte shade
Venetian Red - a rich cranberry with a matte finish with a hint of shimmer
Red Ochre - a deep brick red matte shade
Primavera - a shimmery champagne shade
Burnt Orange - a warm orange matte shade
Raw Sienna - a matte sand brown shade

This palette cost me £41 and in my honest opinion it was worth every penny these are the most amazing shadows I have ever tried and the colours are just so beautiful I don't have anything like this in my collection. So if you are on the fence about buying this palette I would definitely recommend going for it you won't regret as so many looks can be created with it. You can get yours from Beauty Bay here

As always thanks for reading and please feel free to leave me a comment down below and tell me what you guys thought of this palette.

Love Anita
